If you're gonna play you really need to play in time (on the beat)... and you gotta be in tune!
Set your tempo (speed) and type of beat, and practice away. I know it sounds nerdy and boring, but it's the best way to get your pickin' n' strummin' shaped up and sounding clear and clean.
The tuner has a built-in mic and pickup function that works with all sorts of instruments.

NOTE: you do not need this tuner if you have an "EQ" model Seagull Merlin, as they come equipped with an onboard tuner... however, you will want to consider the metronome!
