A New Chapter for The Cumberland
If you've been around Inglewood for a while, you probably know that getting your hands on a Cumberland River Dulcimer hasn't always been easy.
For the past couple of years, each Cumberland was individually crafted by a luthier here in Nashville. That made for some beautiful instruments!
…But it also meant we could only make a small number at a time, and the cost of building them that way made the Cumberland a pretty significant investment.
I've wanted to change that.
So we've spent a lot of time looking for a partner who could help us make more Cumberlands without compromising the instrument I've spent years developing, testing, and refining.
We found them.
Our new partner is able to craft the Cumberland at a much greater pace, and we've taken the time to vet their work and make sure the quality is there. When the instruments arrive in Nashville, each one comes through our shop for a thorough inspection and final setup before it heads your way.
The results are in:
You can now get a Cumberland River Dulcimer that's still a beautifully made, great-sounding instrument…
And they’re now in stock, ready to order, and at a more accessible price. Yep, I’m passing the savings from this new building process directly on to you!
That means you don't have to wonder when the next one will be available… If you've been wanting a Cumberland, you can go order yours today!
And I want you to know something else about this next chapter.
It's still just us.
There's no angel investor behind Inglewood. No big pile of funding. It's still me and a scrappy team of friends, dreamers, consultants, a small crew of trusted luthiers, and now our new building partners: all of us figuring it out, building it from the ground up, and trying to get great instruments into the hands of more players.
Inglewood Instruments is still a small business. I’m still learning as I go. And I’m incredibly grateful that you're here, growing with me!.
Because the whole point of building the Cumberland was to make something that's ridiculously fun and easy to play. And now we can put one in the hands of a whole lot more people.
Maybe you?
