PRODUCT NOTICE: This is a "Factory Second" (SF) listing. **

The Seagull Merlin M4 Series dulcimer guitars are great instruments for beginners and accomplished travelers alike!Ā  The Merlin's wider neck and shorter body length make it a great learning tool for younger hands, while their sturdy construction makes them perfect for the traveling musician in you.

It ships tuned to D (DADD), but could easily be tuned up or down by a whole step if needed.Ā

The Merlin line typically projects more natural sound volume than many stick dulcimers, due to its larger body construction (soundhole / sound cavity), and 4th string. And where the traditional pickin' stick style often sounds more like a banjo or mandolin, the Merlin is more similar to a guitar.

All Seagulls sold at Inglewood Instruments automatically include our one-of-a-kind "5 Days to Play Challenge" course. Learn to play:

  • "He's Got the Whole World"
  • "When the Saints Go Marchin' In"
  • "House of the Rising Sun"
  • Complete with lyrics and chord sheets, and how-to play guides
  • Also includes
    • The Dulcimer Guitar Chord Cheat Sheet
    • Cheat Sheet tutorialĀ
    • Practice Guide

Whether you've played for a while, or never before, we guarantee you'll be able to learn your first song in under a day!

The Merlin M4 ships tuned to D (DADD), but could easily be tuned up or down by a whole step if needed. (NOTE: tuning to G is not an option without replacing strings and modifying the bridge. If you're looking for a Seagull Merlin G Dulcimer, check them out.)
