Update #1: Design

We're so excited to bring you along on this journey with us! We've been hard at work on our next instrument, the M2 electric dulcimer guitar, and we'll be sharing every step of the process right here — from the early days of development all the way to the moment it's ready for you. We already know this electric beauty is going to be something special, and we'd love your help giving it the perfect name.

Update #2: 3D Model

A quick one right now, the design has gone through sketches and is in the fun and fancy computer modeling steps. I’m inclined to have the first prototype be a deep red. Why? Because I like it. And I don’t own an instrument like that. And I think it’ll look neat. :-)  Don’t worry, we’ll make different color options, too.  In fact, if you have any in mind, I’d love for you to email them over!

Update #3: The Build

We're making real progress and we just love how this is coming together! The body has officially been cut, and watching the design come to life in your hands is one of the best feelings there is. Nick also had to make a custom tailpiece to fit the dulcimer.

Next up, we'll be taking it through flat sanding, buffing, and a gorgeous high gloss finish. Hit play on the video below to see it for yourself, We think you're going to love it!

Update #4: The Sound

We've been developing the first production run of solid body electric dulcimer guitars (a mouthful).
