PRODUCT NOTICE: This is a "Factory Second" (SF) listing.

Factory Seconds ("SF") are identical to standard instruments but were deemed by the quality assurance folks at Seagull to be of lower grade wood stock. Generally, that means there's one place on the instrument where the wood has a knot, odd grain pattern, or atypical coloration (see example pictures). We are not allowed to sell SF instruments at market rate, so you get a high-quality instrument for a lower price point! If you have questions or want to check current stock, email us at hey@heyinglewood.com.

The Merlin M4 Series stick dulcimers are great instruments for beginners and accomplished travelers alike!  The Merlin's wider neck and shorter body length make it a great learning tool for younger hands, while their sturdy construction makes them perfect for the traveling musician in you.

This M4 model has a B-Band preamp, making it possible to plug into an amplifier or computer recording device.  It also has a built-in tuner (which is so nice!)... for those times when you want to rock out in a different sort of way, while still making sure you're in tune.

Every Merlin comes with a quick-start guidebook too.

It ships tuned to D (DADD), but could easily be tuned up or down by a whole step if needed. (NOTE: tuning to G is not an option without replacing strings and modifying the bridge. If you're looking for a Seagull Merlin G Dulcimer, check them out.)
