Think You’re Not Musical? Try a Dulcimer Guitar

Can anyone learn to play a dulcimer guitar?

I think the answer is pretty simple: yes.

You don’t need big hands. You don’t need years of guitar experience. You don’t need to read music, know a pile of chords, or consider yourself particularly “musical.”

That’s one of the things I love about these instruments.

You can start simple, get to the fun part of actually making music pretty quickly, and then keep building from there.

Want to work on picking? Go for it. Fingerstyle? Yep. More complicated chords? Absolutely. And as you get further into it, there’s a whole world of different sounds, techniques and even electric instruments to explore.

Easy to start doesn’t mean there’s nowhere to go.

So if you’ve been curious about playing an instrument but assumed you weren’t musical enough, your hands were too small, or you were starting too late… maybe it’s time to throw that idea out the window.

Pick one up and play.
