Johan Glidden Performs “On Rocky Ground” on Cumberland River Dulcimer.

In this performance, Johan Glidden shares a deeply personal folk-style song inspired by the feeling behind its opening lyric: “I’m not who I wanna be.”

Recorded in a stripped-back, minimal way, the song lets Johan’s voice and the Cumberland Dulcimer sit right at the center, raw, mournful, and honest.

The Cumberland felt like a perfect fit for this one, bringing a little Appalachian feel and a haunting sound that helps carry the weight of the song.
